In Himachal Pradesh, due to the active western disturbance, intermittent snowfall is occurring in the higher altitude areas, while a decrease in temperature due to rainfall and hailstorm has been recorded in other regions. Snowfall is being observed in residential areas including Kunjum Pass, Baralacha, and Rohtang Pass in the tribal district of Lahaul-Spiti. Due to the snowfall, vehicular movement beyond Daracha on the Manali-Leh highway has been halted. Similarly, the task of clearing snow from the Gramphoo-Kaza-Samdho road has also been affected. Farmers and horticulturists in the valley are concerned due to unexpected rain and snowfall, resulting in delays in sowing peas and cauliflower. The risk of landslides has increased in the valley due to heavy snowfall and rainfall. Fresh snowfall has also occurred in tourist destinations of Kullu district such as Solangnala, Atal Tunnel Dhundi, and Kothi, where tourists have arrived to enjoy the experience. Meanwhile, the meteorological department has forecast snowfall in higher altitude areas and rainfall in other regions over the next 24 hours.
