Prime Minister Modi lays foundation stone of projects worth over 5 thousand 900 crores in Rajkot, Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said, over the past 20 years, the industrial development of Gujarat has touched new heights. Laying the foundation stone of projects worth over 5 thousand 900 crores in Rajkot, the Prime Minister also lauded the contribution of the engineering industry of Rajkot in the Atmanirbhar Bharat mission.
He said in near future, the fourth-largest city of Gujarat will prepare the spare parts for the airplanes. Prime Minister disclosed the Rajkot’s twin city Morbi holds a 13 percent share of the Ceramic industry of the world.
He said the government is focusing on strengthening the infrastructure in the cities by encouraging the use of technology. PM added that the BJP government has ensured a bright future for the younger generations.
The government is tirelessly working to make Gujarat capable and self-reliant, PM added. PM talked about a series of initiatives by the BJP government in Gujarat for the development of the state and the welfare of the common man.
PM said the Ayushman Bharat scheme is blessing the poor during medical emergencies. Mr. Modi said over 10 lakh paka houses are being built in Gujarat under PMAY to fulfill the dream of home.
During the function, PM also inaugurated the India Urban Housing Conclave, which will witness deliberations covering various facets related to housing in India. PM dedicated over 1,100 houses constructed under the Light House Project.
Union Minister of Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri was present on the occasion.
