The Indian Air Force organised an Air Force Investiture Ceremony at the National War Memorial complex in New Delhi on Friday. Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari conferred Presidential awards to 51 Indian Air Force warriors in the event. These awards included three Yudh Seva Medal, seven Vayu Sena Medal (Gallantry), 13 Vayu Sena Medal and 28 Vishisht Seva Medal.
On the occasion, Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari complimented each of the awardees for their gallant actions and distinguished service in the truest traditions of the Indian Air Force. Our correspondent reports that this is the first time that any Indian defence service conducted its Investiture Ceremony at the National War Memorial.
