Former Director General of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, Dr. Shekhar C. Mande stressed the importance of aligning India’s development with sustainable development goals. He said this during a lecture on ‘Viksit Bharat at 2047- Role of Science and Technology’ by The Indian National Science Academy in New Delhi on Friday. Outlining the key strategies necessary for achieving this alignment, Dr. Mande said that it includes fostering collaboration among stakeholders, investing in research and development, establishing techno parks to facilitate innovation, prioritizing sustainability, and nurturing young leadership to drive progress forward into the future. He also emphasized the necessity for increased awareness and education on climate change.
