In Bihar, the byelection to two assembly seats of Mokama and Gopalganj is underway in a peaceful manner. Polling began at 7 a.m. and will conclude at 6 p.m. Counting of votes will take place on Sunday.Six candidates are in the fray for Mokama seat while nine are contesting on Gopalganj seat. Mokama seat fell vacant after the disqualification of RJD MLA Anant Singh who was convicted in an Arms Act case. Byelection in Gopalganj was necessitated due the death of sitting BJP MLA Subash Singh.
