Delhi Air Quality In April 2024 Shows Significant Improvement

Delhi has recorded maximum number of ‘Good’ to ‘Moderate’ air quality days in April this year as compared to the corresponding period of last six years starting from 2018. As per the Environment Ministry, the average AQI of Delhi during the month of April, 2024 has also been the second lowest as compared to the corresponding month of April since 2018. The 30 days period of April in 2024 also witnessed significant reduction in daily average PM 2.5 and PM 10 concentrations as compared to the corresponding period in the previous years. The Ministry attributed the significant improvement to the favourable weather conditions coupled with consistent, comprehensive and concerted efforts by Commission for Air Quality Management in Delhi NCR and Adjoining areas.
