IMD predicts very heavy rain in Kerala for the next five days. Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts will remain under Red Alert tomorrow while Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram districts under orange alert. The state witnessed intense rain today with eight districts under orange alert and the remaining under yellow alert.
Fishermen are warned from venturing into the sea due to squally weather with heavy winds. The coastal residents have been warned to remain cautious as heavy waves are predicted to prevail along the Kerala coast from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod.
