With only 6 days left for campaigning ahead of the Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh on November 12, political campaigning has intensified with star campaigners and prominent leaders of various political parties holding public meetings and road shows across the state.
AIR correspondent reports that Star campaigners of BJP and Congress campaigned in favor of their candidates in different parts of Kangra, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, and Shimla districts, today.The war of words between Congress and BJP has intensified and allegations and counter-allegations have brought the heat in the electoral arena. Senior leaders of BJP and Congress are constantly addressing election meetings and surrounding each other on many issues. Union minister Nitin Gadkari and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed election rallies back to back in various assembly constituencies of the Kangra and Bilaspur districts today. BJP national president JP nadda held a road show at kusumpati in Shimla. On the other hand, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra addressed a rally at Nagrota Bagwan in Kangra district.While addressing the election gathering at various parts of the state the BJP leaders said the state has made relentless development in every field during the tenure of the double-engine government.In Hamirpur, Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur said, BJP’s double-engine government has brought good governance and development to the state. He further added the state has made unprecedented development in the field of education, medicine, railways, infrastructure, and housing. While addressing the rally, Priyanka Gandhi raised the issue of inflation, unemployment, economic crisis, horticulture crisis, and the implementation of Agneepath scheme in the army.
