Indian Stock Market Benchmarks, The Sensex And The Nifty Snapped Their Five-Day Winning Streak Amid Mixed Global Cues.

Sensex closed with a loss of 609 points, or 0.82 per cent, at 73,730 while the Nifty 50 settled at 22,420 down 150 points, or 0.67 per cent.
 

In the forex market, the Indian rupee on Friday ended at 83 rupees and 35 paise against the US dollar.
 
 
At Multi Commodity Exchange for June contracts Gold was trading at 71,642 rupees per 10 gram. Silver was trading at 82,920 rupees per kilogram for July contracts when reports last came in.

 
In intra-day trade, Brent crude was trading at 89 dollars and 63 cents per barrel, when reports last came in.
