The Election authorities in Karnataka have made special arrangements for the convenience of the Physically Challenged voters on Friday in 14 constituencies during the Lok Sabha polls. There are 2.76 lakh physically challenged voters in these constituencies. In Urban areas the specially abled voters can use the Saksham mobile app to book Wheelchair or transport facilities. The mobile app provides all the information on the booth locations and facilities provided there. As on date, 756 PWD voters have used the mobile app to book a wheelchair, 489 have booked transport facilities to take them to the booths and return to their homes tomorrow after voting and 31 requests are made for assistance after reaching the booths. The app can be used till 5.00pm tomorrow to avail the facilities.
