J&K: Poonch Commences Home Voting For 1100 Voters Across District

In Jammu and Kashmir, in an unprecedented move to ensure inclusive participation in the electoral process, the District Election Authorities of frontier district Poonch have commenced home voting for 1100 voters across the district.105 dedicated teams have been deployed across the district to facilitate this process, which are tasked with reaching out to the voters who opted for home voting, making it one of the most extensive home voting operations in J&K. The Poonch district has the highest number of voters opting for home voting in the entire Union Territory. The decision to implement home voting aims to accommodate voters with disabilities, senior citizens, and others with mobility issues, ensuring that every voice is heard in the democratic process.
