Interstate Sex Racket Busted In Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh; 3 Minor Girls Rescued

In Arunachal Pradesh, police have busted an interstate sex racket running in the capital city Itanagar. Police had conducted raid at an alleged brothel cum residence of a person at Chimpu on May 4 of this month and rescued three minor girls. Two of the minor girls were trafficked to Itanagar from Dhemaji, Assam and were forced into prostitution.
 
Police has informed that the minor girls have been sent to the rescue home. The third one is the daughter of alleged accused from his first marriage, who is now reunited to her mother. Meanwhile, the Capital Police have arrested 18 people in this connection so far.
 
The Child Welfare Committee were informed about the rescued victims and a case has been registered under POCSO Act in Women Police Station in Itanagar.
