The golden jubilee year of Regional News Unit of Akashvani Pune is commencing from today. First news bulletin from the Unit was broadcast on this day in 1975 at 7.05 in the morning. This bulletin has completed 49 years with millions of regular listeners. On this occasion, best wishes are pouring in from many dignitaries and common listeners. Retired Army Chief General Manoj Naravane, son of one of the initial news readers of Pune Regional bulletin, late Sudha Naravane, has shared his memories of those years.
