Six people, including three women, were killed in a major fire incident in a hotel near Patna Junction in Bihar on Thursday afternoon. City SP of Patna Chandraprakash informed that 15 people were injured in the incident. He said people who received burn injuries have been admitted to Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH). Sources said the fire tragedy broke out due to spark when cooking was underway.
Fire enraged due to blasts in LPG gas cylinders kept in the hotel. Several nearby buildings were also damaged. Director General of Fire Services Shobha Ohatkar said 45 people were rescued.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed grief over the loss of lives in the incident.
