Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the BJP government has given a befitting reply to terrorism ensuring peace across the country. Addressing a rally at Junagadh in Gujarat today, Mr Modi accused the Congress of engaging in divisive politics and criticised their decision to cede an island near Tamil Nadu to a neighbouring country decades after independence. Mr Modi affirmed the BJP government’s commitment to safeguard small islands and promote tourism development.
Mr Modi who has been campaigning in the State since yesterday will address a rally in Jamnagar later in the evening.
Meanwhile, Congress leader and Rajasthan’s former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot addressed a press conference in Ahmedabad and assured that the Congress Manifesto guarantees justice to every section of the society. Mr Gehlot expressed concerns over the security of democracy in the country and criticised the BJP for misleading people and neglecting major issues like inflation and unemployment.
AAP leader Sunita Kejriwal is also campaigning in the State today. She held road shows in Botad and Dediyapada in favour of AAP candidates of Bhavnagar and Bharuch.
