I&B Ministry disposes of 4,735 quintals of scrap under Special Swachhata Campaign 2.0

Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has disposed of 4 thousand 735 quintals of scrap and other materials under Special Swachhata Campaign 2.0 and earned revenue of 3 crore 71 lakh rupees. The Ministry and its attached offices carried out Special Campaign 2.0 from 2nd to 31st of last month on a pan-India basis. The campaign was focused on disposal of pending matters, weeding out redundant files and overall cleanliness of offices, and space management.The Ministry, in a statement, said that during the campaign period, 14 members of Parliament references, 320 public grievances, 181 public grievance appeals, and four Parliamentary assurances have been cleared. It said over one lakh physical files were reviewed. Out of this, around 67 thousand were weeded out. It also informed that two thousand 217 e-files were reviewed. Out of this, one thousand 868 were closed. During the campaign, around 1.75 lakh square feet of space was also freed up.
