Gold prices gained today in the futures market. The precious metal for the June contracts was higher by 582 rupees or 0.82 percent, trading at 71,250 rupees per ten grams. Silver futures for July contracts were up by 1,444 rupees or 1.78 per cent, trading at 82,487 rupees per kilogram, when the reports last came in.
In the global markets, gold was trading 0.88 per cent higher at 2,328 dollars and 80 cents per ounce on Comex. Silver was trading 2.60 per cent up at 27 dollars and 39 cents per ounce in the intra-day session.
