CBDT Extends Deadline For Filing Form 10A/10AB By Taxpayers To June 30

Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the deadline for filing form 10 A and form 10 AB by taxpayers till 30th June. CBDT further clarified that if any such existing trust, or fund had failed to file form 10A for the Assessment Year 2022-23, they can avail this opportunity to surrender the Form 10AC and apply for registration for AY 2022-23. The date has been extended following representations received by the CBDT.

CBDT also clarified that trusts, institutions or funds whose applications for re-registration were rejected solely on the grounds of late filing or filing under wrong section code can also submit fresh application in Form 10AB within the extended deadline.
