In the Kashmir Valley, two terrorists were killed today in an encounter that broke out between terrorists and security forces in Redwani Payeen village of Kulgam district, yesterday evening.
Official sources said that a joint team of Police, Army’s one Rashtriya Rifles and CRPF launched a Cordon and Search Operation on specific information about the presence of terrorists in the area late last night.
As the joint teams of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon them which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.
Police officials said that two terrorists have been killed and their bodies have been retrieved from the site.
Meanwhile, the operation was going on till the reports last came in. Further details are awaited.
