In Rajasthan, the medical education department has directed Private and Government hospitals to generate a unique National organ and tissue transplant organisation NOTTO -ID for both donor and recipients in each case of Human and tissue transplant. Without it, transplantation would not be possible. The Health Department has taken this step to ensure complete transparency in human organ and tissue transplantation.

The appropriate authority for human organ and tissue transplantation in Rajasthan,  Dr. Rashmi Gupta, has issued guidelines to the medical superintendents of government hospitals and managing directors of private hospitals authorized for transplantation of human organs. According to the guidelines, it will be mandatory to generate a unique ID for allocating organs from both living and deceased donors. This ID has to be generated within 48 hours of the implant surgery.  This directive has been issued to 15 hospitals including Sawai Mansingh Hospital Jaipur. It is noteworthy that Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau had recently arrested three people in Jaipur for issuing fake no objection certificates by taking money. Negligence of some hospitals was also revealed in this matter. Since then, continuous action is being taken by the Medical Department to ensure transparency in human organ transplantation.
