Manipur: Polling Teams For Far-Flung Areas Begin Journey To Designated Polling Stations

In Manipur, the polling teams for far-flung areas started their journey to designated polling stations for the upcoming second phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

The District Election Office, Pherzawl district of Manipur, today dispatched the first batch of polling teams from Tuibong today. The polling teams deputed for sixteen remote polling stations under the Tipaimukh assembly segment under the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency were airlifted along with EVMs in an Indian Air Force chopper. These polling stations are located more than 260 kilometres away from the Dispersal Centre and have poor road connectivity.

The polling teams for fifteen polling stations in the Pherzawl district of Manipur also proceeded towards their respective destinations today by road. The remaining teams for polling stations in two assembly segments under the Pherzawl district will be dispatched by road tomorrow.
