In Jammu and Kashmir, a man, brother of a Territorial Army personnel, was killed after unknown gunmen, suspected to be terrorists, fired upon their residence in Shahdara Sharief area of Rajouri district last night. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that the gunmen opened fire at the residence of a soldier of Territorial Army in Kunda village, resulting in critical injuries to his brother. He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.
The deceased was working in Social Welfare Department of the Union Territory. Meanwhile, a joint team of Police and army have launched a cordon and search operation in the area to nab the attackers. Details are awaited.
