J&K: Army Trained VDGs In Terms Of Weapon Handling And Firing To Maintain Peace And Stability In Mendhar & Surrounding Areas Of Poonch

In Jammu and Kashmir, Army in its efforts to maintain peace and stability in Mendhar and surrounding areas of frontier district Poonch has trained the Village Defence Guards (VDGs) in terms of weapon handling and firing. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that during the training, weapons were inspected; cleaned and firing practice was carried out at Mendhar, Harni and Jaran wali Gali areas of the Poonch district by the Army. A lecture cum demonstration on weapon handling, musketry and firing positions was also conducted as part of the training.
