The election for Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has been postponed. As per the notice issued by the MCD Secretary, the election which was scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed due to the inability to elect a presiding officer for the election. It added that as per DMC Act, 1957, the nomination of a presiding officer is mandatory for the election to take place.
