Delhi Chief Electoral Officer Launches ‘Sankalp Patra’ Initiative To Boost Voter Participation

To enchance voter participation in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the national capital, the Office of Delhi Chief Electoral Officer has launched the “Sankalp Patra” initiative in schools of Delhi. Under this initiative, students will distribute signed affidavits to their parents to encourage them to cast their vote in the elections. The electoral office underlined that with 25 to 28 lakh students enrolled in more than five thousand schools in Delhi, it aims to connect to almost 50 lakh parents in the national capital.
 

Furthermore, under its SVEEP initiative, the Office of Delhi Chief Electoral Officer trained polling parties in the city’s North -East district. The office also conducted SVEEP activities in Rohini, door-to-door awareness campaign in Kirari and posters making and slogan writing in Paschim Vihar.
