CEO Maharashtra S Chokkalingam Urges Voters To Exercise Their Right To Vote

Chief Electoral Officer of Maharashtra S. Chokkalingam urged voters to actively participate and increase the voting percentage of the State. Speaking at a press conference held in Mumbai today, Mr. Chokkalingam said that 16,589 polling stations have been provided for this phase.

Mr. Chokkalingam added that 18,471 service voters would exercise their right to vote through ETPBS. A total of 14,612 voters above the age of 85 and disabled will vote after completing Form 12D within five days of the election notification. He said that materials and equipment required for this election have been provided at the polling station. He also said that adequately trained electoral staff and officials are available for the smooth conduct of elections.
