Delhi Capitals, DC, defeated Mumbai Indians by 10 runs at Arun Jaitley stadium in Delhi on Saturday evening. Chasing a target of 258, Mumbai could score only 247 in the stipulated 20 overs. Tilak Varma was the top scorer for Mumbai, scoring 63 runs from 32 balls, while for DC, Rasikh Dar Salam and Mukesh Kumar took three wickets each.
Earlier, put in to bat first, Delhi amassed a total of 257 for four in 20 overs. Opener Jake Fraser-McGurk scored 84 off just 27, and Tristan Stubbs remained unbeaten with 48 from 25 balls. McGurk has been adjudged the Player of the Match. With this victory, Delhi moved to fifth position in the points table, while Mumbai Indians stand ninth.
In the second match today, Lucknow super Giants, LSG, are taking on the table toppers, Rajasthan Royals in Lucknow. Put in to bat first, LSG were 94 for 2 in 10.1 overs, a shortwhile ago.
