IPL Cricket: Kolkata Knight Riders Beat Mumbai Indians By 24 Runs In Mumbai

In IPL Cricket, Kolkata Knight Riders defeated the host Mumbai Indians by 24 runs in Mumbai last night. Chasing the target of 170 runs, Mumbai Indians were bundled out for 145 in 18.5 overs.
 
Suryakumar Yadav with 56 runs and Tim David with 24 runs made valuable contributions for Mumbai. From Kolkata, Mitchell Starc claimed four wickets while Varun Chakravarthy, Sunil Narine and Andre Russell grabbed two wickets.
 
Earlier, put into bat, Kolkata Knight Riders were bowled out for 169 in 19.5 overs. Venkatesh Iyer with 70 runs and Manish Pandey with 42 runs were the top scorer for Kolkata. Nuwan Thushara and Jasprit Bumrah claimed three wickets each while Hardik Pandya scalped two wickets. Currently, Kolkata Knight Riders are at the second spot in the points table, while Mumbai Indians are at the ninth position. Today, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will take on Gujarat Titans at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
