Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Rajnath Singh said that BJP’s manifesto is a guarantee of creating a new, self-reliant and developed India. Addressing a press conference in Ahmedabad today, Mr. Singh said the 2024 Lok Sabha polls are all set to become a standard of strong and credible democracy in the country. Mr Singh credited the BJP government for curbing corruption and taking more than 25 crore people out of the shackles of poverty. The BJP government came into power in 2014, ED has attached properties worth over one lakh crore, he added. Alleging Congress for the failure in poverty alleviation, Mr. Singh said Congress had failed in eliminating poverty from the country despite being in power for more than 50 years. Mr. Singh emphasised that the BJP government is aiming to end poverty in the country within the next five to 10 years. He remarked that a person hailing from a poor humble background became the Prime Minister of the country on his ability and calibre, this shows the real strength of Indian democracy.
