Army Chief General Manoj Pande Reviews Passing Out Parade Of 146th Course Of NDA

Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pande reviewed the Passing Out Parade of 146th Course of National Defence Academy at Khetarpal Parade Ground, NDA, Khadakwasla, Pune on Friday. A total of 1265 cadets participated in the parade of which 337 cadets were from the passing out Course. This included 199 Army Cadets, 38 Naval Cadets and 100  Air Force cadets including 19 cadets from Friendly Foreign Countries including Bhutan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Maldives. A contingent of 24 female cadets, presently in their third and fourth term of training also took part in the parade.
 

It is hardly possible to express in words the emotions that surged in the minds of their parents when the 337 cadets crossed the antimpag in a rhythm and came out of the academy in this parade that lasted for about one and a half hours. Army Chief General Manoj Pandey expressed his gratitude to these parents and said that they have done an incomparable job by dedicating their sons to the service of the country. And, he called upon the students to become familiar with the emerging new technologies of war and strengthen the spirit of unity while moving forward in the service of the country. This 146th batch was admitted in June 2021 and after three years of rigorous training, these cadets will now enter their pre-commissioning training academics. Battalion Cadet Captain Shobhit Gupta won the President’s Gold Medal for standing first in the overall order of merit, Academy Cadet Adjutant Manik Tarun won the President’s Silver Medal for standing second and BCC Anni Nehra won the Bronze Medal. The prestigious ‘Chiefs of Staff Banner’ was awarded to Golf Squadron for being the Champion Squadron during the parade.   Finally, at the Hut of Remembrance, tributes were paid to the countless heroes of the NDA who displayed incomparable bravery and protected the country.
