All three benchmark US indices closed higher yesterday in the third straight session as investors continued to gain hope that there was a greater chance of the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates this year.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.46 percent, the S&P 500 gained 1.03 percent and the Nasdaq Composite jumped 1.19 percent.
