Gold prices gained today in the futures market. The precious metal for the June contracts was higher by 26 rupees or 0.04 percent, trading at 71,153 rupees per ten grams. Silver futures for July contracts were up by 605 rupees or 0.73 per cent, trading at 83,599 rupees per kilogram, when the reports last came in.
In the global markets, gold was trading 0.11 percent lower at 2,319 dollars and 80 cents per ounce on Comex. Silver was trading 1.16 per cent up at 27 dollars and 92 cents per ounce in the intra-day session.
