Gold prices gained today in the futures market. The precious metal was up by 64 rupees, or 0.09 per cent, trading at 71,564 rupees per ten grams. Silver futures for July contracts were higher by 114 rupees, or 0.14 per cent, trading at 82,610 rupees per kilogram, when the reports last came in.
In the global markets, gold was trading 0.29 per cent higher at 2,354 dollars and 10 cents per ounce on Comex. Silver was trading 0.58 per cent up at 27 dollars and 70 cents per ounce in the intra-day session.
