In Nuh, Haryana, after the violence and uproar during the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP)’s Braj Mandal Yatra, an alert has been issued in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The internet has been shut down in four regions here.
Divisional Commissioner Sanwarmal Verma has imposed an internet ban from 6 o’clock this morning until 6 o’clock on Wednesday morning in Pahadi, Kaman, Nagar, and Sikri.
The Divisional Commissioner explained in the order that a clash occurred between two groups during the Braj Mandal religious pilgrimage in Nuh (Mewat) of Haryana. This has led to destruction, arson, stone-pelting, and a traffic jam on the national highway. There could be attempts to disrupt law and order in Bharatpur by antisocial elements.
In this situation, the spread of communal tension cannot be denied. To maintain peace and law and order, it is essential to impose a ban on internet services. Therefore, the ban is applied to internet services, excluding broadband and leased line services.
