KP Sharma Oli will be sworn in as Prime Minister of Nepal today. The swearing-in ceremony will be held at Shital Niwas, the main building of Rashtrapati Bhawan in Kathmandu, at 10:45 AM Indian time. Along with Mr Oli, a group of ministers will also be inducted into the cabinet. He was appointed Prime Minister for the third time yesterday to lead the new coalition government. 72-year Oli succeeds Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda who lost the vote of confidence in the House of Representatives on Friday. Nepal President Ram Chandra Paudel appointed Mr. Oli as the new Prime Minister of the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninist (CPN-UML)-Nepali Congress (NC) coalition. Late on Friday night, Mr. Oli staked his claim to form a new government with the backing of Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba and submitted the signatures of 165 House of Representatives (HoR) members — 77 from his party and 88 from the NC.
