India has sent a second tranche of Humanitarian Assistance including 40 tonnes of medicines, medical supplies and other equipment to assist flood victims in Kenya. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in a social media post informed about it. First tranche of assistance was sent in Naval Ship Sumedha and was handed over to the Government of Kenya on 10th of this month. It included food, relief and medicine supplies for flood victims.
Torrential rains driven floods have wreaked havoc in the African nation where over two hundred people have died and thousands have been displaced.
