High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka Santosh Jha has inaugurated the premium petrol with 100 octane, XP100, in Colombo. The event marks the launch of the high performance fuel in the island making it the 8th country in the world to provide it in its market. Sri Lanka’s Minister of Power and Energy, Kanchana Wijesekera, also announced the availability XP100 petrol on X and shared that he had a meeting with the Chairman and Senior Management of Lanka IOC which has introduced the product to Sri Lanka’s market.
He elaborated on his discussion on development plans of the LIOC retail outlet network, tank farm development, lubricant market, fuel pricing formula, and the proposed oil pipeline between India and Sri Lanka. Speaking exclusively to our special correspondent managing director of Lanka IOC Dipak Das said that Sri Lanka is now the 8th country in the world to offer 100 octane petrol to its customers. He added that XP100 also reduces carbon emissions contributing to Lanka IOC’s commitment towards cleaner and healthier environment.
