Gujarat assembly elections: Voters increased by more than 7 lakh during this election, says CEO

Chief Election Officer of Gujarat P Bharati said the state administration is all set to conduct free and fair assembly elections. Addressing a press conference at Gandhinagar today, Ms. Bharati said the number of voters has increased by more than 7 lakh during this election. She added that there will be live webcasting of nearly 26 thousand polling booths this time to ensure fair and transparent elections.Ms. Bharati said the model code of conduct is being enforced strictly in the state and any citizen can file a complaint regarding the breach of MCC on the c-VIGIL app.Ms. Bharati also talked about a series of initiatives undertaken by the commission to encourage more and more people to cast their vote on the day of the election.
