Uttarakhand celebrates 22nd state foundation day

Uttarakhand is celebrating its 22nd state foundation day today. On this occasion, a Raitik parade was organized at Police Lines in Dehradun. Governor Gurmeet Singh reviewed the parade. Addressing the parade, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami saluted the state martyrs and Andolankaris. He stated that the government is committed to make Uttarakhand a leading state in each sector by 2025. Uttarakhand was formed on 9th November 2000, as 27th state of India.It was carved out of Uttar Pradesh. The state is divided into Garhwal and Kumoan divisions. Several Programs are being held in various parts of the state to mark the occasion.President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Governor Gurmeet Singh, Legislative Assembly Speaker Ritu Khandudi Bhushan, and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami greeted the people of the state on the occasion of State Foundation Day.In a tweet, the Prime Minister said that Uttarakhand has a deep connection with nature and spirituality. He said that the people of the state are making unprecedented contributions in many fields for nation-building.
