‘Rozgar Mela’: Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal says with PM Modi’s initiatives India has become fifth largest economy in the world

Union Minister for Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal handed over the appointment letters to 212 newly selected candidates at the ‘Rozgar Mela’ in Guwahati today.The Union Minister said that during the last eight years Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi took several bold initiatives and as a result India has now become the fifth largest economy in the world.Mr. Sonowal said that the youths are now reaping the benefits of economic development. He also said that Prime Minister’s emphasis on science and technology is also helping in creating more employment opportunities for the youth.‘Rozgar Mela’ is an initiative undertaken by the Union government towards the recruitment process for filling up vacancies at various central government departments.As a part of the mission, new candidates were offered appointment letters at various locations in the country, and the candidates selected were also addressed by the Prime Minister through virtual mode nationwide.
