The World Food Safety Day was celebrated at Government Model Middle School Biathang, in collaboration with the Food Safety Department Kargil. This year’s theme was “Food Safety: Prepare for the Unexpected.”
The event was graced by Nayeem Ahmad Lone, Designated Officer of the Drug and Food Control Organization Kargil, as the Chief Guest, and Er Ahmad Ali, Founder of LOGIC, as the Guest of Honour.
One of the highlights of the celebration was an Ethnic Food Festival organized by the students, aimed at promoting awareness of local organic foods. Headmaster Gulzar Ali emphasized that the festival’s goal was to educate students about the benefits of local organic foods.
In addition to the food festival, students performed a play contrasting healthy food and junk food, which was well-received by the audience.
