In Uttar Pradesh, the whole state is reeling under the scorching sun and temperature is breaking all records every passing day. Even nights have become unusually warmer and there is no respite from the heat in the night time also. The maximum temperature in most of the districts has reached around 45 degrees Celsius. In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 47.5 degrees Celsius has been recorded in Kanpur.
Yesterday Prayagraj with 47.1 degree temperature was the recorded warmest city in the country. The lowest temperature was also 33 degree in Kanpur which was highest in the state.
The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert regarding severe heat wave in the state for the next four days. Lucknow Meteorological Center scientist Mohammad Danish said that the maximum temperature will not increase further, but the effect of heat wave will remain. He further added that the due to western winds the heat wave conditions have become more severe in the daytime and nights have also become warmer.
