These days the tourism season is in full swing in Himachal Pradesh and tourists are turning to the state to get relief from the scorching heat in the plains.
There is a huge crowd of tourists gathering at other tourist places including the capital Shimla. Occupancy is up to 90 percent in all the big hotels in Shimla, Kufri, Chail, Narkanda, Kasauli, Kinnaur, Kangra, Dalhousie, Kullu and Manali.
About five thousand hotels of Tourism Development Corporation are registered in the state. Apart from this, about 1000 homestays are also providing their services and 80 percent advance booking is also going on in the hotels of Himachal.
Tourism Development Corporation has run electric buses to many other tourist places including Rohtang Pass.
More than 3 thousand tourist vehicles are reaching Manali every day.
At the same time, between June 1 and June 10, there has been movement of about 53 thousand to 70 thousand tourist vehicles in Shimla.
