Southwest Monsoon Reaches Maharashtra

The southwest monsoon has reached Maharashtra, bringing respite to the people of the state. Speaking to Akashvani News, Head of India Meteorological Department, Pune K S Hosalikar said that the monsoon has reached Ratnagiri district. He added that conditions are favourable for the further advancement of monsoon in other parts of the state including Mumbai in next 3-4 days. The IMD issued an orange alert for thunderstorms and moderate rain in Thane, Raigad, Pune, Satara, Solapur, Beed, Ahmednagar districts for today.
