Several parts are reeling under intense heat wave conditions in Bihar. Due to sweltering heat conditions normal life has been badly affected in the state.
Maximum temperature was recorded at 45 degree Celsius and above in several districts including Bhojpur, Arwal, Rohtas Buxar, Sheikhpura and Begusarai. The school children were mostly affected due to heat stroke in the state. Today several students, especially girls, fainted and fell ill in Buxar, Patna, Sheikhpura and other districts due to sweltering heat. Some students were hospitalized after their health conditions worsened due to heat stroke.
To save the school children from adverse effects of heat wave conditions the Education Department has ordered the suspension of classes from 11th to 15th June in all schools.
The Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department Dr. S. Siddharth informed Akashvani News that teachers have been also given vacation during the period. The Met Department has issued a red alert of intense heat wave conditions in the state for the next 24 hours.
