Several parts of the national capital continue to face the water crisis. The affected areas include Sangam Vihar, Mehrauli, Vasant Vihar, Okhla, Vasant Kunj, Chanakyapuri, Narela, Rohini, Uttam Nagar, Janakpuri, Vikas Puri, Moti Nagar, Patel Nagar, Chhatarpur, Karawal Nagar, Mukherjee Nagar, Geeta Colony, Krishna Nagar, and Shahdara. Meanwhile, Delhi Water Minister Atishi has begun her indefinite hunger strike accusing Haryana Government of not providing adequate water to Delhi. She said her strike is to ensure justice to people of Delhi with regard to water problems.
On the other hand, BJP hit out at ruling AAP government in Delhi alleging that it is the AAP leaders who are responsible for leakage and irregularities in water supply in Delhi. Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva told media that Haryana government has already clarified that it is providing more than adequate water to Delhi but AAP is playing politics over the issue. He also alleged that instead of checking the leakage, AAP leaders are busy in grabbing media attention.
