Polling completed peacefully at 13 lok sabha constituencies in Uttar Pradesh. Aakashwani correspondent reports that in this phase, a total of 130 candidates are in fray. Voting was held today for the bye election of Dadraul assembly seat in Shahjahanpur district also.
Akashwani correspondent reports at some places polling started tittle late due to glitches in EVMs. First time voters were very enthusiastic to cast their votes. Barring some sporadic incidents polling was peaceful on all 13 seats which includes Shahjahanpur, Kheri, Dhaurahra, Sitapur, Hardoi, Misrikh, Unnao, Farrukhabad, Etawah,, Kannauj, Kanpur, Akbarpur and Bahraich. In the last lok sabha elections BJP had a clean sweep on all the 13 seats. Today’s polling will decide fate of many political stalwarts including Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav from Kannauj and Union Minister of state for home Ajay Mishra Teni from Lakhimpur Kheri constituency.
