Odisha is likely to experience isolated heavy rainfall in the next three days under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over Bay of Bengal. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has said thunderstorms with gusty wind may also continue till 28th of this month, besides heavy to very heavy rain in some districts of the state on tomorrow and the day after.
Meanwhile, heavy rain lashed a few places in Khordha, Cuttack, Balangir, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, and Bargarh today. According to weather experts, the cyclonic circulation will help bring down the rainfall deficit in the state while strengthening the monsoon. Odisha had recorded 42 percent deficit in rains this month.
