The POCSO fast track court Judge Ramesh has issued a non-bailable warrant against former Chief Minister and BJP senior leader B S Yediyurappa in Bengaluru today. He has also directed the police to submit the chargesheet before June 15th. B S Yediyurappa had approached the High Court yesterday seeking to quash the POSCO case filed against him. The Criminal Investigation Department, CID had summoned Yediyurappa for investigation in the case yesterday and when he did not appear before them, the Department approached the fast-track court and requested for the non-bailable warrant today. The brother of the minor victim had also approached the High Court seeking its intervention to speed up the investigation of the POSCO case by CID. Yediyurappa’s petition in the High Court says that the case registered against him based on a complaint by the mother of a teenage girl is false and that it should be quashed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
