The Mumbai Crime Branch has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the Ghatkopar billboard accident case. 17 people have been killed and around 75 people were injured in the accident. A massive billboard collapsed on a petrol pump in Ghatkopar area in Mumbai during a storm on 13 May.
The death toll in the Ghatkopar billboard accident has increased to 17 as a person who was receiving treatment after being rescued from the rubble succumbed to injuries.
The Mumbai Crime Branch has formed a six-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the accident.
According to officials, the SIT searched the residence of Bhavesh Bhide, the owner of the company responsible for the billboard and spoke to some of the employees of the company. Last week, the Mumbai Crime Branch apprehended Bhavesh Bhide from Udaipur, Rajasthan and brought him back to Mumbai.
